The Big Bus Rome sightseeing tour offers a recorded commentary in your choice of either English, Italian, Spanish, French German, Brazilian Portuguese and Mandarin. The commentary is available through complimentary earphones that you will receive when you board the bus.

On the day of travel, use the Big Bus Tours app to activate your ticket. Once your ticket countdown has started, simply show your activated ticket to the driver to board.

If for any reason, you can't activate your ticket via the app, you can still show your printed ticket or QR to a member of staff at one of our stops or aboard the bus. They'll issue you a paper ticket that you'll be able to use to hop on the bus throughout the validity of your ticket.

Big Bus Tours Rome operates daily. Occasionally severe weather and special event days could affect service.

Yes –we’ll ask you to select the date you’d like to hop on the bus. If you’re touring with us for more than one day, your ticket must be used across consecutive days, and the date you select at time of booking should be the first day of your tour. Some tours also require you to select a time of travel, to guarantee your seat. If your ticket includes extras, you may also need to book additional dates & times for all elements of your ticket after your purchase is complete. See your booking confirmation email for instructions.

A child ticket is available for children between the ages of 5 - 15. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Yes, all of our buses are wheelchair accessible.

First tour of the day departs at 09:00 am from Stop 1 at Termini Railway Station, and buses will come every 15 minutes until 7.00 pm depending on the of time of year. Other popular stops to start the tour include Stop 3 at the Colosseum and Stop 6 at the Vatican however you can redeem your ticket at any of the over 8 Big Bus stops. To request a refund, if booked directly with Big Bus Tours visit the Big Bus Tours App or by using the enquiry form available on the website bigbustours.com/contactROM. If you booked via a 3rd partner, please go back to the original booker agent for your refund request.

Please note that the Colosseum ticket is non-refundable. Once booked, cancellations or changes are not permitted.

This ticket includes timed entry to the Colosseum, and standard entry to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill.

Ticket instructions:

1. Your online booking date is for your visit to the Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill. After purchase, you can select the date for your hop on, hop off bus tour via Manage my booking on the Big Bus Tours website.

2. After booking, you will be contacted at the phone number or email address provided during the booking process to finalize your reservation. In accordance with the Colosseum Archaeological Park policy, the full names of all participants are required to issue the tickets.

3. On the day of your bus tour and visit to the archaeological sites, present your printed or digital ticket to your guide at the Touristation Office located in Piazza d'Aracoeli, 16.

Please note: tickets are not refundable and entry times cannot be modified once booked. Your ticket for the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill is valid for one day and allows only one entrance to the Colosseum and only one entrance to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, but our bus tour is flexible - within the validity period of your ticket, you can hop on at any time during daytime service hours.
